Dear First Name,

As you may or may not know, I have signed up to ride in a(100 mile, 68 mile and 42 mile ) bike ride this summer. The ride, Colorado-Eagle River Ride, benefits SOS Outreach, a youth development charity. In order to leverage the impact of the event, I have decided to ride for a cause and help fundraise for SOS Outreach as I train.

I myself enjoy outdoor sports and have been privileged enough to participate in them for several years, it is my hope that through fundraising I will be able to expose youth to these sports as well. SOS Outreach provides these experiences to youth who would otherwise would not have the opportunity, students range from homeless youth centers and behavioral treatment groups to the troubled youth we all once were just in need a little extra guidance from a adult role model.

SOS Outreach has grown from a small non-profit into a national program, serving 4,888 youth during the 2010/11 season. SOS builds character and self-esteem in youth through outdoor and winter sports and a core value curriculum.

I am raising money for SOS Outreach by having my friends and family sponsor me. With every $50 donated, one youth will have a chance to spend a day on the mountain and learn a new sport, foster self confidence, spend time with positive adult role models and learn the 5 SOS core values; Courage, Discipline, Integrity, Wisdom and Compassion.
