Description:
Tigiwon Road is the major access point to the trailhead for one of
Colorado’s most famous 14ers, Mount of the Holy Cross. Although the
road may have a few washboards, it is a relatively easy ride.
Depending on the start, riders will come to the Cross Creek
Trailhead about 1.5 miles into the ride. This section road is well
traveled and is well shaded by trees. At around 5.0 miles the road
passes the Tigiwon Community House with great views of the Gore
Range in the distance. The last 2.0 miles of the ride can be more
challenging as the grade gets steeper. The road finally ends at the
Half Moon Trailhead. Return using the same route.
